April Special Investigator - Heather Jacob

Hi there, my name is HEATHER JACOB. Firstly I am so honoured to be here as a guest designer on the fabulous CSI Thanks so much Debbi for asking me .. I think you have created an amazing unique challenge site and I am sure it will go from strength to strength .. .. mwah xo

Now a little about me, I am blissfully married to my wonderful, supportive “soul mate” BADEN. Our treasured family, all feature throughout my work. There is nothing more important to me than my family. 

Creating art is one of my many passions in life .. I discovered scrapbooking in 2003 and to me this craft is the perfect combination of art, photography, beautiful paper, and glorious words.
I can incorporate all the arts and crafts I love in one hobby. I especially love that there are NO RULES !!??.My books are a reflection of my life, my history, my family and friends. Also who I was yesterday and who I am today. My addictions at the moment are definitely Stitching, layering, texture paste and paint, and monochromatic themes. Off the page projects and altered art are a fave of mine. Tags, cards and mini books .. My style is “CLASSIC” with attention to detail…and a little shabby chic thrown in.. 

I teach classes at “Seriously Scrapbooking” in Adelaide And I am lucky enough to be on a few design teams : Imaginarium designs (chipboard), ONCE upon a .. sketch, The Color Room, Meg’s garden, White with one, Scrap for help, ASI magazine.

Interrogation:
What is your favourite color at the moment ? My fave color is anything in the autumn tones.

 What would you say is your fingerprint on your scrapbook pages ? (i.e.,What do most of your pages have that make it your signature style?) My fingerprint is most definitely STITCHING and LAYERING 

What do you find most challenging when working on a layout? The most challenging part of working on a layout for me is knowing when to stop !!! I want to stick everything down firmly and my work is looking so much better since I have begun allowing some things to lift and be free !!!

What is your favourite part of CSI – the colors, the stories, or the inspiration? I adore the inspiration .

Confession time. Okay fess up! What secret do you not want to admit but are willing to confess here? Mmmm .. I am addicted to my blog ..really and truly addicted … hook line and sinker !!!
