August Special Investigator - Ali Parris

Hello I am Ali Parris, mother of 2 grown up girls, wife to DD for 30 years and grandmother to my scrapbooking muse!! I have been scrapping for about 5 years now and am please to say that the UK has finally seen the light and now provides a great selection of US manufacturers - you have no idea how frustrating it used to be!!

I am so thrilled to have been invited by Debbi to be a Special Investigator for the month. I adore CSI, and without wishing to gush, I can honestly say it is my favourite place to come and be inspired as well as challenged :) 

I never cease to be amazed by how genuinely friendly, supportive and encouraging fellow scrapbookers are and that is probably what I love the most about this hobby........except for the paper!!!

Interrogation

What is your favorite color(s) to work with? If we are counting white as a colour, then that would win hands down, but as it isn't then I would have to say cool blues.

What would you say is your "fingerprint" on your scrapbook pages? (i.e., what do most of your pages have that make it your signature style?) I have only recently found my style. When I first started I would see a page and love it and then try to mimic the style. Consequently, my scrapping was all over the place and no two layouts were ever similar. I am definitely a 'white space' kind of a girl with a little bit of wet something thrown in! 

What do you find most challenging when working on a layout? Without question it's the title. I am just not that fond of adding a title, so unless I am doing a layout for a challenge I don't bother :0)

What is your favorite part about CSI--the colors, the stories, or the inspiration? Hmm that is tricky...the inspiration, I think. But I do love the colours and the stories and, of course, the members!!!

Confession time. Okay, fess up! What secret do you not want to admit but are willing to confess here? All I ever read is how messy people's craft rooms are, but I have to confess to being an OCD queen and tell you that as soon as I finish a project, my whole room is tidied and everything goes back in it's labelled space.....how sad am I?? LOL I have spent many happy hours sorting everything into ROYGBIV (well, very little Violet) and playing with the label maker :0)
