Happy Friday, Suspects!

How can it be Friday already? The week has zipped by and the gallery is bubbling over with creativity and beauty! Thank you to everyone who's playing with us. It's such a joy to see all the different ways you "solve" the Case Files!

We have been so impressed by the work of our Guest Detectives from our March sponsor, Words or Whatever, and they're back again to provide beautiful inspiration! This week, we have Sandra Henderson Staples, Wendy Smith, and Monique Follett joining us.

I wanted to remind everyone that we have a design team call in progress. You can read all the details here.

We have a fun and playful Case File for you this week! The creations from our design team, Guest Detectives, and Special Investigators are just delightful!

And we have a new surprise for you! Michele Singh, our Digital Detective Extraordinaire, has created printable patterned papers for us to use that are custom-made to go with the Case Files. Michele has designed the CSI Coordinates to perfectly match the palette, and they were also created with the evidence and testimony in mind. You can download your papers at the bottom of this page. Simply open the pdf file and print on high-quality paper (I printed the blue chevron pattern on textured Bazzill cardstock and it's absolutely beautiful) and use them to help you solve the Case File. Use them as you normally would use patterned papers--use it as a background, a layer, cut it apart, punch it, die-cut it... The possibilities are as limitless as your imagination. Thank you, Michele, for this wonderful new addition to CSI!

We hope you are as excited by all that's happening here at CSI as we are!

Now...are you ready for the next challenge? Grab your forensics kits, CSI Members, because it's time to do some serious sleuthing as we present Case File No. 11.

(Remember to scroll all the way down for RGB codes, color descriptions, and more thorough explanations of the Evidence and Testimony.)

Here is how our Guest Detectives from the WOW design team solved Case File No. 11...

Our Special March Guest Designer, Melinda Thompson, solved the case too...

Wow!  Incredible ladies!  This case file is sure to inspire some craftiness!!  :D

Ummm can i ask a really dumb question???? What are RGC codes???

Hi, k!

Not a dumb question at all! Thank you for asking--and don't ever hesitate to ask anything around here!

RGB stands for red-green-blue. They're codes you can put into your computer to change colors. Digital scrappers can use these to match the elements they use to our palettes.

For us paper scrappers, we can use them when we're not 100% sure of what a color is (often because things look different on people's monitors). What I do if I'm not sure if, say, a teal is more green or more blue, I put the RGB  codes into this site and it'll tell me which color it's closer too.

I hope that helps, k!

wow this is a cool one...amazing creations from everyone!

Thank you for designing the paper  Michele, such a great idea. Unfortunately, my printer isn't good enough for such printing. Got to get a new one!
