Case File No. 2 {due January 22, 2012}

What an amazing first week we had! Thank you to all the CSI Members who joined our site and jumped right in to solve the very first Case File. What a thrill to see all those wonderful layouts in the gallery! If you haven't yet had a chance to solve Case File No. 1, you still have time (see the black counter in the right sidebar of most pages. You will always have a week plus an extra weekend to complete the challenge.

We continue our January Alice in Wonderland inspiration with another image from the Tim Burton film. The colors this week are so lovely and bright and positively dreamy. You will again see how versatile the color scheme is and how the look of this palette can change dramatically, depending on the neutrals you use and the proportions of the colors you design with.

JOURNALING DETAILS

Choose one (or more) of the following to inspire your journaling:

• Look at your photo and journal in a stream-of-consciousness way (free-writing).
• Document an adventure.
• Use this quote as inspiration: "Good advice. If I listened earlier, I wouldn't be here. But that's just the trouble with me. I give myself very good advice, but I very seldom follow it." -- and journal as advice
• Inspiration Words: dream, journey, subconscious

 EVIDENCE DETAILS

Choose two (or more)of the following elements to include on your layout:

• flowers
• architectural elements (e.g., gates, fence, windows, bricks, etc.)
• sheer elements
• swirls/flourishes
• something stone-like (interpret that any way you wish!)

The deadline for completing Case File No. 2 is

Sunday, January 22, 11:59 p.m. EST.

Thus, you have a week plus the two weekends to complete your layout.

Fun case file! I'm working on my page for this one and it's proved to be fun and challenging. The lavender color has been throwing me for a loop! Lol.

I must admit, I wasn't really crazy about these colors, but did find the perfect pic for them. Others have done so good with it, that I changed my mind. It is a challenge after all so I'm going to give it a shot.

I love seeing all of the responses to the color challenge... I'm dying to see what the journaling prompts lead to...  I remember teasing Debbi about yellow all the time.. it was my krptonite!  Now..it slides into a layout with ease.. Soooo glad I was challenged with "my" colors!  You can flip thru' my albums and see evolution of my scrapping (green, green, green, grey, grey, brown, brown, green, green,  YELLOW!  PINK!  RED! )

I just posted  (pant, pant, out-of-breath sounds)  Even though we've got the extra days, I still wanted to get it done before Case #3 is posted! This one just would not come together for me - I did two others and threw them in the garbage.  I've been a bit obsessed, and haven't spent much time viewing and leaving blog love the way I like to...whew!These colours were beautiful but tough!
