Happy Friday! What a vibrant, happy, summery gallery we have with all the gorgeous layouts added for Case File No. 31. We continue our theme of "Down by the Sea" with a more tranquil, but equally beautiful, palette with this week's Case File.
We are delighted to have Peace, Love & Scrapbooking as our August sponsor! Peace, Love & Scrapbooking was born out of a passion for scrapbooking and preserving memories. They strive to put together kits that feature the latest products from several manufacturers ... taking care to make sure everything coordinates perfectly! Each kit is jam packed with paper and embellies and will always contain enough product for you to create several stunning layouts or cards. Peace, Love & Scrapbooking isn't a typical kit club, there is no membership or monthly minimums ... just beautiful kits at one low price! You choose what you want, when you want it and how many of each kit you'd like!
We are excited to have the Peace, Love & Scrapbooking design team join us as Guest Detectives this month. Pam Pritzl and Lisa Haiss are back again this week with very inspiring pages.
Our August Special Agent, Bente Fagerberg, is back with another gorgeous page showcasing her flair for distressing.
And our very talented team of Special Investigators return with beautiful creations. Please give a shout out to Ali Parris, Belinda Spencer, Debbie Standard, and Milagros C Rivera. These ladies' work has consistently caught our eye in the gallery, and we are thrilled to have them with us this month!
Please use the links to visit all these ladies' pages in the Guest Detective forum to say hi and to hear how they responded to our "Interrogation."
As always, Michele has created a gorgeous set of printables for you! Check out the fabulous circle papers and the "Keep Calm" signs. (Note: the Coordinates are attached as two separate files this week.)
CSI Coordinates can always be found at the bottom of the reveal threads. Scroll all the way to the bottom, where it says "Attachments." They are just above the reply box. Read about some tips on how to use these cool printables here.
So are you ready for this week's challenge? Our theme for August is Down by the Sea. This week's Case File was inspired by "Key West Umbrellas" by Mark Schuver, whose gorgeous photo caught my eye in the Flickr gallery, and I just knew it would be the perfect colors to kick off our August challenges.
Grab your forensics kits, CSI members, and get ready for some serious sleuthing as we open Case File No. 32.

Permalink Reply by Lynn Cooper on August 17, 2012 at 11:30am Here is my attempt at this weeks challenge, had a bit longer to play this week.
Title is chipboard with Acrylic paint and Crackle medium, and I dry brushed more paint on the Bazzill.
I used gauze bandage and glass nuggets, cork chips, charms and lots more bits and pieces.
My story is in the journalling with more on my blog, including a link to even more details about the beach sculpture in the photo.
Thanks for looking

Thank you for this great challenge and very ispiring examples :-)
This is the first time I have solved a CSI case, and my entry is now uploaded to "My photos". I have both tagged it with the challenge number, as well as having the the same number in the title - I hope this was the right way to do it.
Perfect, Hilde! So happy to have you playing with us!

Permalink Reply by Monique McCoy on August 18, 2012 at 5:04pm Thanks Debbi, I appreciate it. I'm going to try and get up here tonight. So once its in the gallery, can everyone see it in this section or do I put it here?
Permalink Reply by Monique McCoy on August 19, 2012 at 9:09pm Here's my entry. I used Shaunery's layout as inspiration for my "Beach Daze" layout. I used paper that looked like a burlap sack and the outer paper that I used for a frame looks like a grainy picture frame that was left out in the ocean air for too long. I hope that counts. I don't have much experience w/ the mixed media elements. This challenge was alot of fun.
