March CSI Lab Investigation: Where Do You Find Inspiration?

The idea for this month's Lab Investigation comes from Michele Singh: Share your favorite sites for inspiration or resources.

So, for the month of March, several design team members will be sharing where they go for inspiration or scrappy resources. Check back often, as we will be adding pictures throughout the month.

We'd love for you to share YOUR favorite sites for inspiration or resources! 

In order to keep the forum from becoming too unweildy, we are asking that you do not start your own thread but rather respond on this discussion or on the CSI Detectives' discussions.

Just had an "light-bulb" moment while I was clearing and cleaning my desk after this weeks challenge...

You know how you may pull several photo's for a layout or print up several shots at a time?  But then you don't use them for what ever reason??  Then you have all these little scraps, extra buttons, brads, ribbon..scraps and such.

Gather ALL of that stuff up... then pull out those little cute mini-albums you receive as gifts, or you bought on sale..you know the ones YOU'VE never even started.  Bust out your scraps, grab one of those snapshots and scrap it!!  Journal, title or document the event, make tabs, whatever but have fun.  No boundaries, no rules, or criteria, just free scrap.  8 - 10 pages later, you have a sweet little brag book, a little something for your child to flip thru, something to mail to grandma or give to daughter for whatever..  AND those little bits and pieces that you've saved with the intention of DOING something with.  You've made a dent in them at least.

I'm excited and am thinking w/ tomorrow mornings cup of coffee, I'm going to start one myself!  I'll leave a link back to my blog when I get some pages done.. and I CHALLENGE you to do the same!!

I hate all those little scraps- for I never can part with them but I cant seem to find a use for them either. Its like they are tainted or broken or something. Thanks for the added challenge!

Michelle! This is TOTALLY ROCKED MY DAY! What a cool website, thank you for posting this. In the near future I think I am going to be hosting a color challenge in a forum for a Scrapbook store I design for! I needed some inspiration!

Ohh, ohh, ohh, raising my hand here- I am a big fan of interior design (not that you can tell by looking at my house which is currently decorated with dirt smudges, stinky sneakers and clothing trails- thanks a lot BOYS!) A great source of inspiration is interior design boards. google up design boards and you will get a myriad of coordinated ideas already gathered up in tidy little displays just waiting to inspire your next layout - LOVE THEM!!
