Well, it took some time to figure out how I wanted to create this page. In fact, I started over again when my gesso background didn't turn out the way I wanted it to the first time. Once the ball started rolling though, I really enjoyed creating this page - it turned out girly and sparkly & I love it in spite of the pink! =D
Some details on the creation of my page : I started by making a template with a scrap piece of cardstock and painted on a thick layer of gesso. Then I used a technique from Vicki Boutin's book and stamped it with a large background stamp. After it was dry, I mixed a few drops of red acrylic paint into some white paint to make this pink. I also added in a bit of Glamour Dust - love how it shimmers, although it may be hard to see in the picture.
Inspired by the March 16th 2010 post on the Queen's Meme, I made my journaling a bucket list. I used bullets so that when I accomplish something on the list, I can "check" it off. I may add more things later if I think of some to add.
