I have a supporting and wonderful soulmate and I'm blessed with two sweet kids--a son born in 2001 and a daughter born in 2003.
Many of my pages feature those two (no guess, huh?).
My DD has autism and those issues affect our family in many and profound ways.
I used to be a florist with my own business, but after the kids were born, I found I could not put in those long hours.
I work in a preeschool now, but scrapbooking is my passion and creative outlet and I've been totally hooked since 2004.
If I would at any time choose to do something else it would probably have something to do with astrology, geocaching, or books. I love crime novels.
I'm also putting in some hours in our local church, being chairman (chairwoman?) in our parish council.
What is your favorite color(s) to work with? My fave colour would probably be some turquoise or teal shade, but I love those unexpected combos and get inspired by almost everything that I see (or sometimes hear--a song, some lyrics or a quote).
What would you say is your "fingerprint" on your scrapbook pages? (i.e., what do most of your pages have that make it yoursignature style?) My signature style? I probably have one, but I'm not sure I can define it...Lately I use lots of gesso, masks and other messy colourful stuff, but my style varies with the inspiration. I almost always jot down as many words as I can come up with that the inspirational picture/text/music brings to mind. Those words lead the way in my creative process. I used to be a florist, many of the artistic aspects from floristry are useful also in scrapping--balance, texture, contrasts etc.
What do you find most challenging when working on a layout?Journaling would be the quick answer to that question...but also dealing with the necessity to clean the house every now and then instead of scrapping (makes me really grumpy...) :)
What is your favorite part about CSI--the colors, the stories, or the inspiration? Inspiration! absolutely.
Confession time. Okay, fess up! What secret do you not want to admit but are willing to confess here? OK, I never ever exercise...can't make myself. It's so utterly boring. ;)
