This is how I solved case 14. I used ruffles in the larger photoframe, at the bottom of the strip of smaller photos and in the corners with the buttons.
I used wet medium (sprinkled the butterflies with pink, as well as the background and some part of the photos too).
I used fake stitcking with dimensional paint... simple design but on addorable papers that matched the case so well, so the only thing I added was a ruffled white ribbon at the corners and buttos on top.
Here are some close ups...

The journaling is about a very funny moment years ago during our last photo shoot before we moved to Trevelin. Lara (who was just 2 years old at the time) didn't want to be there, was so mad and how her sis Ali (who was 7) convinced her to smile at the photographer...
I tell all this in detail in my blog, NOW BILINGUAL, JUST FOR YOU! my dear CSI friends :)
So go ahead and have a look:

You're so industrious...wow a two pager. The photos are darling and such a great idea to scrap them all together. Love the little cross stitches and the sweet little butterflies.

Comment by Adrienne Ford on April 18, 2012 at 9:13pm Aww, they look like the really love eachother! Beautiful page-prefect for little girls in my opinion :) and what a neat idea using dimensional paint for the faux stitching!
Such a pretty 2page layout, Carolina. I love your "fake" crosstiches. If you had not posted the close-up shots I would have thought they were hand-stitched with floss. I love how you worked with the paper and only added a few little touches to finish it off. The framing of the main photo looks great as well. Beautiful work, once again :)
Come see the case file, our design team's layouts, and chat about the challenges.
