First of all, this is the first 12*12 layout I have ever photographed, uploaded and edited. Baby steps for me, lol. I apologize for the glare on the photo, something to work on and correct next time.
Layout is based on a sketch from Scrap 365, a British publication. You can download the sketches for free. This is from Jan 2012, design by Marsha Valk.
Used for evidence: pompom ribbon, transparent flower, ricrac and metal brad. For testimony, used the words "wild" and "fun".
Hubby took photo playing with our new Nikon camera that I have to learn how to use! Journaling says, "Sassafras loves her dirt baths. She's fun to watch, but she gets so filthy she's not allowed back in the house! Sometimes she gets a wild hair and streaks across the yard, leaving dust clouds in her wake. No wonder he nickname is Pigpen."
(white mist, studio calico; orange flower, American Crafts; brown transparency flower is KI; pattern paper is from sassafras Lass, appropriately, lol; and I cut a tag shape from a vintage check.)
TFL and reading this novel!

Beautiful cat! And fabulous layout. The black background looks great and I love those banners. TFS!

That's a beautiful shot of her. She's looking straight into the camera with such a serious stare, isn't she?
I really like how you layered all of the patterned paper ribbons, and how you added the text to the photo.
Come see the case file, our design team's layouts, and chat about the challenges.
