Oh Wow! What a wonderfully inspirational case this is!!! Totally love working with these delicate colours and the fair light!
I said it before but some of you might not know; I almost always start scrapping by doing quite a lot of planning. When I actually bring out papers and embellies and stuff the LO is pretty much finished in my notebook. The stages of painting and misting and that kind of thing is in a list, so i don't get lost in the creative whirlwind that comes later.
First I jot down words that come to mind when looking at the case shot and colours; sheer, translucent, fair, elegant, feminine, nature, grow, bloom, crumbled, twist, matte, fresh, fragile, bare...
I often like to work with opposites; in this case the sheer and elegant feminine versus the rough earthlike quality of the floor. I tried to achieve this effect by using contrasting materials (burlap and kraft paper vs the other more "pretty" stuff).
I also like to play with the qualities in a not obvious way. Not just using the blooms from the pic but rather translating the quality of them into other elements; Those flowers became the trunks of the birch trees in the background growing in the similar way, having the same kind of bleek light as in the case shot. The quality of the petals is in the sheer washi tape used for my journalling. I used crumbled flora tape and crepe paper for the crumbled effect from the petals.
OK,
Evidence; flowers, leaves, twist something, bling
Testimony; I journalled about some signs of spring- some obvious ones like the snowdrops in the shot and some not so obvious ones like taking out my car from winter storage :) Inspiration words: growth, bloom.
In Sweden we have this tradition of eating waffles on this particular Lady Day and so I get to dust off my granny's Olde Waffel Iron :)
Thank you so much for looking at my page and I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for all the wonderful comments on my last LO! You're so kind!
xoxo
