3-Dreams do come true-FRONT (door)

This time is not a double page, just a single page LO but that is a sort of door that opens to reveal a more extensive journaling inside.
It tells the story of our first days in Trevelin as well but this time highlighting specially all the good things that we were discovering, especially the girls playing outside, discovering a whole new world and the vast nature that surrounded us.
I played around a lot with the pictures this time... I kind of disected them!! hehehe separated them into several pieces following the background paper circular patterns, then highlighted the main parts with gold matting and put all pieces together again.
The pixs highlight the "story of an unfair race" where Alana (7) riding her bike challenged her little sis (2)for a race, Lara wouldn't stop laughing and running trying to follow her sister in obvious unfair conditions, but both of them were SO happy...
We laughed so much that day...
I uploaded 2 pictures. This is the outside... or "the door".
I added some doily prints with brown ink, used some white acrylic paint to add some texture, then draw on the background with a glue pen and covered it with very thin layers of gold paper to create the gold circular accents at the bottom:

And the circle at the top left corner:

I also used thin and think gold markers and did some penwork on top like fake stitching and doodles.
Used ribbon on that bottom line of circles and on the tags... quite a bit of stitching with a thick gold thread...
Here's a closeup of the top photograph corner:

The photo in the middle:

And the one at the bottom:

Even the flower embellishments are parts of the photo and complete the picture...
And here is a photo of the inside revealed when the door opens :)

As always, TONS of photos on my blog with step-by-step instructions on what I did on this page.
It is in Spanish as the main focus of my blog is to help spread the word in my country about what scrapbooking is (that's right! nobody knows!! can you believe that?) and give ideas to whoever starts following opening their minds about the endless possibilites they can explore with the creation of this kind of artistic photo albums and journals.
I'll try to make some spare time to start writing bilingual posts so that everyone can follow if interested :)
Thanks for your interest!!

Thank you all! Wendy, Sandra, Debbi! you are all so nice. I'm happy you liked it. I did put a lot of work onto this particular page... I was really "possessed" with this week's theme and colors and everything basically.
I've never used gold in my pages!! (NOT LIKE THIS at least :) and I kind of like it!
Thanks again for your comments! :)
