26 Family

This was a fun one to work with. I am typically not a yellow fan so working the case had its challenges, but let me tell you the cake with the frosting in the inspiration photos was just too irresistible. So I pulled my buttercream out (modeling paste) and "frosted" my yellow. You can almost eat it!!! I remember I had hoarded this gorgeous velvet black flowers from Heidi Swapp , vintage Heidi Swapp if you have been scrapbooking for a while... And so I used them to pile everything on top. I used Crate Paper in yellows and greys and die cut a Fleur de lis from my Spellbinders collection in perfect black for the wrought iron. Also dusted off my Maya Road crown for the translucent evidence and used it to document the queen, king, prince and princess of...I also wanted to use the clear flowers from House of Three. I guess the only brand new thing I used were Maya Road metal buttons. Oh well had a lot of fun using my stash!!!

hope you enjoy my frosting close ups!
