The beautiful couple in these photos is my best friend's daughter, Monica, and her husband James. Sadly, James just lost a six-year battle with osteosarcoma last Friday. I am taking photos from Monica and James' Facebook pages and making some pages for her to remember all the wonderful moments they shared. So sad.
Since Echo Park is sponsoring CSI for July, the design team is trying our best to use Echo Park products on our layouts this month. How serendipitous and awesome that the Note to Self collection went with our Case File this week! I pretty much used that collection, some cardstock and CSI Coordinates this week.
Clues I used to solve this case: Evidence - robots, circles, repetition, eyelets. Testimony: Document something silly/wacky
I hope you'll pardon the fact that I'm not including journaling while I make this book for Monica since I don't know the stories behind the photos.
Here are some details. For those who don't know, I scrap 8 x 8. I posted some details about products on my blog, if you're interested: http://debbitscraps.blogspot.com/2012/07/be-crazy-csi-case-file-no-28.html

Comment by Annie Claxton on July 25, 2012 at 5:33am Love the layers of detail on this quirky page and the Note to Self elements mix really well with the CSI Coordinates. It's so sweet of you to make these pages for Monica - it does help to remember the good times.
Comment by Paula Flávia Pagotto Simionato on July 18, 2012 at 5:12pm The pictures are so funny, and those robots from Michle´s design are irresistable, aren´t they?

Comment by Di Garling on July 17, 2012 at 8:10am Fabulous layout Debbie, I always love your style. Great design & great pics too. So sorry to hear of your loss, always sad when a younger person loses their battle. Also I am always in awe by the fact you manage to get everything onto an 8"x8" page!!! Love it. Looks like these were happier times. Di xo
Comment by Kelly Holifield on July 16, 2012 at 8:18pm Thank you for the sweet comment on my first layout here at CSI. Wow, this layout is amazing and the story is just so sad. I lost my Mom to cancer a few years ago and it is just such an awful thing. What a super sweet tribute you have done for his wife and these photos are just so beautiful. I know she will love what you are doing for her!
