OK, I'm experimenting here with a minimum of flowers and no layers. Left me feeling totally naked and not very happy with the result, was all itching to start sticking down stuff but held my horses.
The evidence used are the circles that I have repeated over the page. The robots are in the photos.
My husband is an incurable hoarder and has a BIG box with his stash of old toys from his childhood. His absolute faves are his robots. Not the ones in the photo, they only serve as a visual reminder of the little boy that is hiding inside my man and who comes out when anything remotely technical pops up anywhere.
xoxo Eila
I also made two other pages for the same case file.

Comment by Di Garling on July 21, 2012 at 9:31pm I agree with Sylvia, you really did step out of your comfort zone, but then, that is a good thing to do occasionally. I don't think you must have slept at all this week!!! Cheers Di xo
Comment by Sylvia Mellander Ekman on July 20, 2012 at 3:54pm I would NEVER ever have guessed this was one of yours Eila dear! Ain't it just so rewarding and enjoyable to step out of your comfy zone? I totally see how you had to restrain yourself and not put all your goodies and romatic stuff on here. I love this too, sweet lady, everything you touch is turned into gold. mwah!
Comment by Patrice on July 19, 2012 at 7:32pm I love that your husband still has is old toys!
My goodness Eila, if I had not seen your name attached to this layout, I never would have guessed it was yours! So totally different from the ultra feminine, flowery pages we are used to seeing. I can understand how this page would feel "naked" to you. But look at the result, a fun layout that really makes you look closely at what's in the photos. Great job changing up your style :) Wish I could do the same.
Comment by carolyn quintal on July 18, 2012 at 9:44am I love the asymmetrical criss crossing of the strips of paper
Comment by Sandi Taloumis on July 18, 2012 at 8:04am love the dots here...looks great!
Comment by Helena Virpi on July 17, 2012 at 5:53pm Love the repetition of the photo and that you placed one of them upside down! And the paper strips are awesome. I like this page a lot but then again, I love "less-is-more" :)
Come see the case file, our design team's layouts, and chat about the challenges.
