27 - Every Meal in Crete is a Treat

I was out of town for the weekend (in Milan to see the only one of our children who is presently on the same continent as we are since the other two are in New Zealand!) and couldn't upload earlier.

Gorgeous colors in this week's challenge.
My title is Every Meal in Crete is a Treat and it truly is so. One of the journaling elements was to journal in rhyme, but I limited myself to rhyming the title:) For my journaling I used the inspirational words "natural", "wonderful" and "taste".

My journaling is on the back of my layout:
"This photo was taken in 2009 in Crete but it could have well been taken in any of the past 11 years that we have visited this beautiful island and enjoyed the delicious food the Cretans cook. It's simple, tasty, natural, healthy and sooooo good!
The only error you can do going to Crete on vacation is to book a package holiday (with hotel and accommodation included). You'll end up seeing nothing of the real life and miss on all the wonderful flavors and smells of Crete. Friends of friends did this and ended up complaining about the Greek/Cretan food. Hubs and me were flabbergasted but turned out that they had eaten every meal at the hotel which offered a pale tasteless imitation of a continental /international cuisine which we all know, tastes nothing like the genuine cuisine of the country you are visiting.
In the years we've visited Crete, we've come to love 'fava', 'paidakia', 'sikotaki', 'fasolakia', 'horiatiki', 'tsatsiki', 'keftedes', 'paputsakia', 'moussaka', 'gigandes', 'skordopsomo','psaraki', 'saganaki', 'horta', kolokithia tiganità' and many more. Kali oreksi!

Tsatsiki, keftedes and moussaka I do know, the rest is yet to be discovered :)) Each and one of your pages is a tribute to white space and funky details, absolutely marvellous projects and so is this one too!
