Oh, isn't this case just fabulously fresh and fruity! It's just perfect for all those summer Los I need (and want) to scrap. :)
I have lately discovered that I use less and less of patterned papers and I really don't like seeing that stash untouched, so I challenged myself to use pp on all LOs (in a small amount al least).
It was just after I already finished the case that I realized the background paper with the clouds is actually Echo Park! It had been sitting there for some time and I always loved it, but my DD (in the LO) had improved it by doodling in the middle. However I love working under some kind of restriction (like challenges) and the doodles meant I had to design the page accordingly.
Lets get to the facts:
Evidence: stripes, rolled paper, label.
Testimony: Top 10 list (well almost...)
Document a summer story.
Journal on strips (not very long, but anyway...).
The title translates -The top 5 of summer according to Alice
And the journalling -1. Strawberries 2. Swimming 3. Strawberries 4. Strawberries 5. Strawberries
To really make the strawberries pop in the shot I edited it to make everything else b/w and gave it a tint to match the case colours. Just a very small amount of yellow.
I so loved working with this case. I will probably come back to these colours over and over again.
TFL and happy scrapping everyone!
xoxo

Fantastic layout and photo edit! Love the list and the rolled paper strips. Like you, I find myself using less and less patterned paper, on this layout you really let the patterned paper shine.
Vad synd att jordgubbssäsongen är över i princip!
This is so pretty!!

Comment by Milagros C Rivera on July 23, 2012 at 8:00am I think it turned out fabulous Sylvia all those patterns mixed so well. I love your little rolls on top of the photo!
Comment by Sandi Taloumis on July 23, 2012 at 7:43am This is just so cute! Love how the main focus goes down the center of the lo! Nice design!
I like the manipulation of your photo and I agree with Alice about the strawberries. Like how you worked around the challenge. It always makes me feel good when I can work around a problem with a page. Sometimes it works out better than the original plan. Very pretty page.
