I have used:
Frame for the text
The text is in norwegian, but it is telling that the picture was taken at the beach in October, and that my daughteris wonders what is out there in the cold water. She is so curious.
Wet medium - paint and gesso
Stripes with text
Something shiny - put an overlay under the frames that my daughter is sitting on, so it looks like she touch the water.
Cheesecloth
I got inspired of the water in the picture, and the girl standing on the frame with water : )
