This lo is made with all senses and all my heart. The photo depicts me when I was 5 years old, sitting in my Grandpa´s knee on a summers day in 1965.Next to us is my Grandma, and the photo was taken in their garden. They, John and Thea, were my best friends and I miss them so much.In the layout is a piece of cloth from my grandmas apron, a piece of crocheted lace which she had done and two "bookmarks"(?)from my childhood.During the summer hollidays it was a solemn moment when we went to town and she bought me new ones. I can still remember the scent when I opened the package. As a bird evidence I have chosen a hen, because they were farmers. The dark paper with dots reminds me of my Grandma´s best dress. The light blue circles are "hoola-jump rings"you know the ones you swing on the hips. The striped paper reminds me of candy mint, striped in the same way , and my Grandpa´s favourite candy. Then I have two book-pages, one from an old Bible, they were Baptists and we went to church on Sundays. The other one is from a Kitty book. I read all Enid Blyton´s books at grandpa´s. The whole journal is written as a six word memoir. I will translate later. It describes them, their home and their lovingly way of being. The two circles in the lower right corner are actually made with coffe. Their cups. Their absence. My hope that they´ve just gone out and we´ll soon meet again.
Evidence:text pattern, striped pattern, bird accent,( Lace instead of mesch)
Testimony:The journal written as a six word memoir. Inspired by the song " the wind beneath my wings", which they were.
I have added just a little bit of pale yellow , the page required some sun-color. :)And since I wanted the impression to be light and sunny , I used the dark colors sparingly. Don´t know if that was ok?
