5 - Inside Outside

My mojo has been pretty low lately, but I loved this combo and wanted to give it a try. I've been struggling with being "happy" lately, so this page talks about how I feel on the inside even when I look happy on the outside. That's why I chose a "smiley" picture, even though the journaling is more sober. The journal around the picture prompt inspired me to journal around the page instead. Also, I was encouraged by comments on my first CSI page, so I chose to use my own handwriting again.

Thanks to Amy & Alissa of A&A Photography for this photo of myself.

Evidence : frames, cutting tools (5 different border punches)
Testimony : Backstory & journal around the perimeter.

Love the simplicity and clean look of your page Vivian. And I love the fact that you created this LO about yourself and what you're going through right now. I know the feeling of putting up a happy face when you're not happy at all. I think we all can relate to this. "You always smile, but in your eyes your sorrow shows" An important LO. For you and for us all. (And I'm so glad your Mojo is back!) I would like to give you a hug in person, but the cyber hugs will have to do. xoxo

Awww...hugs to you, Vivian. What an important page to create. Scrapping can be very therapeutic. Love the layered punched borders and how you framed your beautiful smiling face. I especially love your honest journaling and how you've written it around the edge, and your handwriting is indeed beautiful! I'm so happy you jumped into the challenge even though your mojo has been flagging--you've done a wonderful job!

I think the simplicity of this layout speaks volumes.  And your journaling..thank you for sharing.  I think it's very brave and fulfilling to journal and scrap the lows in our lives as well as the highs.   Thank you for stepping out of your box, pushing forward with the challenges and exposing your self for all to view.  Well done.
