Tandri is my youngest son and has experienced many changes in not only his appearance, but also his personality. Tandri's name means fire in the Icelandic culture. Through elementary school, Tandri excelled but did not have to apply himself.Once he reached middle school and then on to high school, his idea "of just getting by" did not quite work as easily because he did not want to study. Tandri did graduate on time with his grade 12,but exclaimed he "hated school" and decided to take a trip to Australia to travel & work part time as a sandwich artist (aka, employee at subway). As that idea was short lived & with Tandri already having his pro card,he decided to go back to school & take golf pro management. He soon realized that he would be spending most of his time in the pro shop, not on the course,so he dropped out of that course. Tandri then worked for a year, and is now back in school, taking Civil Engineering, and is finally applying himself.Tandri has become a very considerate and successful young man,who has learned the essence of being frugal and always listening to not only family and friends, but his own voice and heart.
Time certainly does fly!!!Keep soaring,Tandri!!!

Comment by Sylvia Mellander Ekman on July 20, 2012 at 3:33pm From your story of Tandri it seems to me he is Tandri/Fire embodied. It's a wonderful story of a young man becoming himself and learning to live in the fire element. Love your style -the excess in layering and detail work. This prooves "too much of a good thing can be wonderful"!
Comment by Eila Sandberg on July 20, 2012 at 3:26pm This is almost like an embroidered tapestry, full of amazing detail and a wonderful story of a young man's path to maturity to match. Beautiful layout Rachelle!
WOW. Some serious detailing in this layout - great tie in with the title. Love the stitching (or whatever that is that looks like stitching)
